Sony Xperia Z3 Review
The Sony Xperia was released not too long ago (Three months
actually as it was released on September 19th) and myself just got
it one week before Christmas and from what I`ve seen, it looks like a
well-built phone with a 20.7 megapixel camera with 4K recording. This will be a
short review of the phone
The design
The Sony Xperia Z3 looks like the other smartphones on the
Xperia Z lineup but on the Z3 it has more rounded edges than on a Z2 or Z1. Now
this does come at a price as it`s more easy to drop as the sides are made of
aluminium. If you happen to lose your grip on this phone, then you can say
goodbye to it. But on the other hand, the corners are made from nylon which
makes the phone have less scuffs from when it`s dropped. (And that would also
depend on how high you dropped it from.)
The Software
All Xperia phones and tablets feature the Android operating
system. As for the Z3, it runs on KitKat version 4.4.4 (Soon to be updated to
5.0 lollipop) The Z3 also features Sony’s own applications such as Walkman,
Albums and Videos. Sony also have their own launcher. It also features other applications
such as lifelog, update centre and Xperia lounge which gives you offers to
exclusive to people who use Xperia devices. (There are more apps but there`s
just too many to list)
On the Z3, the camera is the same on the other Z series with
the G lens, 20.7 MP camera and 4K recording. The camera actually still looks
good even if it`s fully zoomed in. (See image below)

The camera also has some others apps that you can use with it such as AR effect which makes characters or a backdrop of a city like San Francisco. (See image below)

There are many camera apps for the Z3. These are my favourite three. One of my favourite apps is the multi camera which allows the user to connect to other Xperia phones and record videos from other angles. Another one of my favourite camera apps is the sound photo is allows the user to take photos with sound. And one more camera app that is my all-time favourite is the superior auto which take excellent photos with no effort.
To sum up.
The Z3 is a pretty good phone with an excellent battery life
(Unless you`re a hard-core user), great camera with 4k, and the overall design
of it is good but the phone can be a bit slippery in the hands. Best to get a
case with this one. I would recommend
this phone to anyone.
Hope you enjoyed this review. :)
